Blue Sun Soda Shop is Expanding!

Last month, I hit another one of the locations of Blue Sun Soda Shop. And 2 days ago, they announced they are now expanding outside of the Twin Cities:

Here are some of the pics they shared:

I haven't been out to Stillwater in a while, but this would be a good trip with my boys this summer. Good luck Blue Sun Soda!

  1. Super excited to see them growing!

I think we might have different ideas about what includes the Twin Cities if you think Stillwater is outside it though, since none of their other stores is in either Minneapolis or St Paul. :-) Just checking the maps, that part of Stillwater is only 10 minutes further than their original location in Spring Lake Park for me here in Saint Paul. With 36 getting ever closer to entirely freeway through the Wisconsin border these days it's a whole lot less of a slog than it once was.

  2. I have to agree with Nathan as Stillwater is very much part of the Twin Cities as our East Metro Foodies Group also includes Hudson, Prescott and River Falls.
When in Stillwater also check out Brines Market located a couple of blocks North of 36 on Washington.

  3. That's fair Nathan and Mike! I think I'm calling it "outside of the Twin Cities" because when I used to go on LONG bike rides, I'd bike to Stillwater and back. It felt like forever! :)

  4. Gateway and Browns Creek Trails?

  5. Gateway to the end, and then a right on that highway to get into Stillwater! And often I'd go left at the end of the Gateway (and then another right on a different highway) to end up down by Square Lake. Those were some long rides! Before having kids! ;)

  6. COOL! just started riding 2 years ago after a layoff of 40 years, I've been living 3 blocks from the Gateway since 2003 and didn't know it, I'll stick to the trails as they're expanding the Gateway to Scandia and the Vento is being expanded to Bald Eagle Lake and may hook up some day to the Hardwood and Sunrise Prairie trails.

  7. Even now the Vento is quite a nice ride and the expansion is just going to make it better.
