Nature's Nectar Pumpkin Cider at Aldi

My wife stopped at Aldi a few days ago, and she found a treat for me. She introduced it saying "I'm not sure if this will be great or horrible..."

Nature's Nectar Pumpkin Cider

We both sniffed it after we popped the top. It smelled strongly of ginger, and I thought it might taste too "harsh" for my liking. But the first sip was pretty good! And it was in a ceramic-cork bottle that I'll be able to save for when I start brewing some of my own root beer. (I think you can use bottles like that... I guess I'm not totally sure because I haven't done it yet.)

Brand: Nature’s Nectar Sparkling Spiced Pumpkin Cider.

Origin: Batavia, IL.

Purchase Place: Aldi, St. Paul.

Sweetener: Cane Sugar.

Review: It tastes like an apple cider / pumpkin spice / sparkling soda. It actually tastes MORE of apple than it does of pumpkin (apple juice is the second ingredient behind carbonated water), but I'm not complaining. It's unique but not too "out there." It tastes like fall. It's a good Oct-Nov treat.

Score: 7 out of 10.

  1. My father in law just gave me 20 of these bottles for home brewing... wishing he would have left one full for me!

  2. Not sure if they changed bottles or I got a bad one but did any of your not seal back up? I had the same idea as the previous poster but if it wont seal so a gentle flick will open it bummer. pretty good all the same.

    1. It didn't seal as good the 2nd time, that's for sure. But mine still sealed. Good luck!

  5. Bought 2 to try at an Aldi's in Memphis. After I tasted it I immediately went out and bought two cases! I absolutely LOVE this stuff. Gee, and I'm not even a soft drinker drinker. Sorry that it's only available two months of the year. I introduced a friend to it and she went on an Aldi tour to find more. So far, every store is sold out. I HOPE Alsi has it again next year. Sorry, Steve, but I give it at least a 12 out of 10.

  6. After I tasted it I went out and bought 10 cases. That was all they had in the store at that time. Do they just carry it in the holiday season?

    1. They must. We shop there a lot, and it's only around in the fall.
