Jackson Hole South Fork Strawberry Rhubarb Soda

I opened this last night:

Jackson Hole South Fork Strawberry Rhubarb Soda

Brand: Jackson Hole South Fork Strawberry Rhubarb Soda.

Origin: Jackson, WY.

Purchase Place: Blue Sun Soda, Spring Lake Park, MN.

Sweetener: Cane sugar.

Review: This tasted like a pretty honest-to-goodness "strawberry rhubarb." The problem with that is I've never been a huge fan of strawberry rhubarb flavored anything. So the short version is the flavor is right on, but I didn't care for the flavor a ton. It has the sweetness of strawberry with a little bitter bite of rhubarb. It's not "bad," but it's just not a taste I prefer.

Score: 4 out of 10.

Jackson Hole Snake River Sarsaparilla

I grabbed this during a football game last weekend:

Jackson Hole Snake River Sarsaparilla

Brand: Jackson Hole Snake River Sarsaparilla.

Origin: Jackson, WY.

Purchase Place: "Minnesota's Largest Candy Store," Jordan, MN.

Sweetener: Cane Sugar.

Review: It smelled deep and rich when I popped the top. And the first sip was ALL wintergreen. If you like a strong wintergreen soda, you'll love this. It was NEARLY too much for me, but it wasn't quite over the line. It's a good, earthy, rich, deep, wintergreen-y sarsaparilla. Try this one - it's different, but not in a bad way!

Score: 8 out of 10.

Jackson Hole Soda Buckin' Root Beer

This label caught my eye with it's bucking steer:

Jackson Hole Soda Buckin' Root Beer

Brand: Jackson Hole Soda Buckin' Root Beer.

Origin: Jackson, WY.

Purchase Place: "Minnesota's Largest Candy Store," Jordan, MN.

Sweetener: Cane Sugar.

Review: This was pretty great from the first sip. (I didn't know what I'd think of a soda call "Buckin' Root Beer.) This wasn't too smooth, and it was heavy on the wintergreen flavor. It had a relatively classic taste, but with about 10x the wintergreen. It was just a bit creamy, but not too much. If you're a fan of root beers that are strong on the wintergreen, check this out! It was one of the better root beers I've had lately.

Score: 8.5 out of 10.
