Big Ben's Fast Draw Sarsaparilla

I grabbed a Sarsaparilla the other night:

Big Ben's Fast Draw Sarsaparilla

Brand: Big Ben's Fast Draw Sarsaparilla.

Origin: Catawissa, PA.

Purchase Place: "Minnesota's Largest Candy Store," Jordan, MN.

Sweetener: Sugar and/or High Fructose Corn Syrup.

Review: There was a problem right away - there was no "hiss" and no release of carbonation when I opened this. Something happened and it wasn't sealed anymore. I drank it, I didn't die - it just had no carbonation. The flavor was good, and it had a subtle vanilla bite. I can not give this a score just yet because it wasn't carbonated, but I'd love to try it again.

  1. By the way......... this stuff is sweetened with sugar; not HFCS. Just to let you know.

  2. Sorry Anon, but the bottle says "Sugar and/or Corn Sweetener" and so does it's website: https://www.sodapopstop.com/products/detail.cfm?link=919

    1. There's a lot of sodas that state they contain both HFCS & sugar, but do not. Look at Always Avery's sodas. Always Avery soda caps state that they container HFCS & sugar, but their website and videos state that they only use sugar. Big Bens uses sugar; because their facebook & other websites state that they use can sugar.

    2. Anon, I don't claim to know anything about FDA labeling rules, but when the bottle states the ingredients list, I post what that says here. I haven't found another site that says otherwise, and I sure don't get my nutrition info from Facebook.
